Kashmiri embroidery, also known as Kashida Embroidery originates from the State of J&K in Indian subcontinent.

The embroidery seeks inspiration from nature all around. Popular designs include flowers, leaves,trees, blossoms, creepers etc.

All embroiderers use ‘nyath’ which acts as protection to their fingers. They are leather finger caps or thimbles.
